Product Overview
Industrial HMI panels are typically deployed in control rooms, pump station cabinets, and remote kiosks throughout the treatment facility. They are built with ruggedized touchscreens and industrial housings (often IP65 or higher), making them suitable for environments with humidity, dust, and vibration typical of water treatment plants. These panels support graphical displays of system parameters such as water levels, flows, pressures, chemical dosing rates, valve positions, and pump states, which can be represented with synoptic diagrams, process curves, and alarm banners. This visual feedback enables operators to instantly assess plant status and take corrective actions when needed.
In a typical SCADA architecture, HMIs interface with PLCs or SCADA servers over industrial networks such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, PROFINET, or OPC UA to retrieve and display current data. Operators can acknowledge alarms, navigate between process screens, adjust setpoints, and trigger manual control actions (such as opening/closing valves) directly from the HMI panel. SCADA systems also consolidate historical data gathered by HMIs and PLCs, allowing operators and engineers to analyze long-term performance trends, optimize treatment sequences, and prepare compliance reports for regulatory bodies.
