Product Overview
Magnetic flow meters are ideal for applications involving raw water, potable water, wastewater, and slurry-laden liquids. Because they have no moving parts, they offer extremely low maintenance requirements, high reliability, and long-term stability. The sensor consists of a lined flow tube with electrodes mounted perpendicular to the magnetic field and pipe axis, while the transmitter conditions the signal and outputs standard communication signals such as 4–20 mA, HART, Modbus, or Profibus, enabling seamless SCADA integration.
Installation points typically include main influent pipelines, pump station outputs, chemical dosing streams, and effluent discharge points. Continuous flow monitoring enables SCADA systems to trigger automated control sequences such as pump ramping, chemical dosing adjustments, or diversion for overflow protection. The historical data collected is used for trend analysis, performance optimization, and compliance reporting. Mag meters are insensitive to changes in liquid density, viscosity, or temperature, provided the liquid is conductive, which makes them highly versatile for a wide range of water and wastewater applications.
